This is chapter 1-6 of my FE10 HM 0% growths playthrough, commentated by OriginalRaisins and me. It is completed in 3 + 2 = 5 turns. Volug gains 8 + 24 = 32 WEXP and ends the chapter at S +1 strike. I will no longer track Volug's strike rank. The best 2-turn strategy for 1-6 (1) under these conditions that I could find involved Sothe having to crit both northwest armors with a +15 crit Iron Knife (a double 36% chance; Sothe will usually be in Resolve for these fights) and Ilyana having to crit or Adept a thunder mage (a 30% chance of either happening). All of this happening together comes out to less than a 4% chance. On top of that, Sothe has to not die, and Ilyana can't always kill the thunder mage with an Adept proc if the thunder mage rolls up on HP and res. So realistically this is something like 1-in-50 to 1-in-100 odds, which I did not think was suitable for this playthrough. 3-turning 1-6 (1) on the other hand is very consistent; the biggest snag is subtle and involves how Shade works for Jill. She usually doesn't kill the fighter on turn 1, and Shade won't always prevent her from being attacked on that enemy phase (but it usually will, even if the fighter wasn't killed). Whether Shade is effective I think depends on enemy stat variation and biorhythm rolls, and if those parameters are fixed, then targeting is not random. For 1-6 (2), it is actually possible to get someone in Laverton's attack range on turn 1 using a lot of shoves. But even if you did that, Laverton doesn't move to attack on turn 1, so there's no known way to beat it faster than 2 turns.
