I know it is not recommended to apply peel and stick to textured walls however, I did it anyway and I love the results. We filmed this months ago and my wall still looks beautiful. I think a matte finish paper would look best on a textured wall. It’s recommended that you do a skim coat on your wall first to smooth it out but I don’t have that kind of time so whatever.
