Mantel Fox is a caffeine-induced, electronic-funk-synth-pop project from Minneapolis’ prolific multi-moniker artist Chris Bartels. Inspired by the whims of studio experiments and accidents, Bartels set off on several sample-heavy ideas in studio in the summer of 2023, writing as fast as possible, while thinking as little as possible. Getting lost in the sounds, the energy, the compression, and the mess - that was the only goal.
