The Superego is a polyphonic synth engine from the genius minds at Electro Harmonix. It reinvents sample and hold, performs fluid glissandos and creates oscillator-like synthesizer effects. The Superego allows the musician to freeze sound, gliss between frozen sounds, layer sounds and place an external effects loop on only the effect. This Electro Harmonix pedal can detect new notes or chords and sustain them automatically without requiring the musician to step on the footswitch. The Superego comes with three modes: latch, momentary and auto, chosen by toggle-switch. Auto mode captures and freezes notes and chords as you play whilst latch mode has a layer feature to stack sounds. The Electro Harmonix Superego pedal can also stack sounds or create infinite sustain, it even lets you tweak attack and decay, or use its effects loop to invent novel synth patches.
