ILS or Instrument landing system is another tool you can use in your simulator for your final approach. While not hard, ILS can be tricky to get your head around the first few times and in this tutorial I show you a couple of ways to get ready for the approach then execute it. ILS isn't an autoland feature but you can get to within a few hundred feet of the runway on autopilot for a great landing every time. Like all things in life, practice makes perfect so I use it a lot to prepare for when I want to mix things up with real world weather. Approaches and landings are so much more difficult with wind, rain, snow and other sundry nastiness thrown in and ILS gets you down safely in those conditions. Hope you enjoy the video!
