I'd composed this piece after playing two games, one of which is called The Witch's House (Majo no Ie) and the other known as Crescent Pale Mist. After playing Majo no Ie, I suddenly felt compelled to compose as many tracks as I could as tributes to it. Unfortunately, I was lacking the ideas and musical ability to compose anything that sounded gothic, melancholic and driven by metal that would provide the imagery for certain scenes in Majo no Ie. A few weeks later I'd decided to search for action doujin games online, and stumbled upon Crescent Pale Mist. The soundtrack in this game provided me with every idea I'd ever need for making gothic metal which would reflect a story such as the one in Majo no Ie, and I am now in the process of making an image album for it. The initial thought for this piece was: "How could I make a track for Ellen in Viola's body, which could be used as a battle theme, but also reflect on her past and the pain of her original body?" It was something that I couldn't have achieved without Crescent Pale Moon and a certain guitar tone that I'd gotten for free from a YouTube user called joeysguitarvideos. I wouldn't have even known about Majo no Ie if my friend Roze hadn't told me about it, so a big thank you to her for introducing me to it. As a last thanks, I'd like to include Peter Crowley on the list for being such an inspiration for all of my works in general. If it weren't for you, then I probably would have given up on composing and sharing material on YouTube. So thanks again to everyone mentioned. Everything was played on a shoddy Yamaha keyboard, a violin 'Beatles' bass guitar, and my awesome Schecter Seven-string Jeff Loomis signature guitar. The drums are... Uh... A secret. ALSO!
