White's boots DIY resole pt 1

This pair of White's boots is made with their "hand sewn stitchdown" construction method, currently around $700 new. I picked these up for under $100 from ebay, and with less than $50 in materials I'm calling this a W. To start off this project, the heels need to be removed, then the rubber sole and finally the leather midsole. At this point I opted to remove the leather shank so that I could rough up the shiny grain side of it and get some glue in there. I'm not about to have the "White's squeak" on this pair. Then after roughing up all the glue surfaces, the new J&FJ Baker midsole is glued and nailed on.
