I got permission to fly the whole day at Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon from the National Park Service. I spent a couple of hours doing fine art and landscape photography as well as (of course) aerial photography with my DJI P4. A whole bunch of seals were present at the lagoon and I was able to fly close to them. They were not disturbed too much by the noise of the drone as the wind was pretty strong and I had the seals in front of me - head wind. I also got permission to film the amphibious boat entering the water and sailing out into the lagoon. I did not prioritise to go on a boat tour this time as the filming was more important. Next time I will take a boat tour of the lagoon. Amazing landscape around the glacier and the lagoon. A hike from the parking lot (or the alternative parking lot) to the glacier tounge is about 4 hours walk (round trip) but very well worth it! Be careful of the icebergs as they tend to twist and turn in the water.
