Wooop Wooop..Welcome.. This is my very first Video on YouTube. The Video features my #10PieceSeries I did during Lockdown in Uganda (Around March to June 2020) Inspiration is drawn from a technique called "Araism" that I learnt on my trip to (Global Art Festival) India last year from an artist friend of mine (Dotun Popoola) an Araism disciple and currently one of the best scrap metal artists from Nigeria . Araism is a native technique founded by Mufu Onifade in 2006 originally from Lagos Nigeria. Its an indigenous art technique aimed at exploring authentic African art forms to give beauty to art expressions with hopes of growing past the western region of Africa. Fascinated about the movement and the originality of the technique, I made these 10 small pieces on my return to Uganda. (East Africa) I have received a lot of positive feedback from the pieces with some featuring in articles and magazines. I hope to continue experimenting more with the technique in the future.
