The Battle of White Plains

This video is an overview of the Battle of White Plains and the larger Invasion of New York in 1776, one of the largest engagements of the American Revolution. Learn how the newly formed continental army fought in a war of independence to repel advances of a tyrannical British authority trying to impose its rule on a people thousands of miles away. Video Editing and Animation was completed by Austin Olney, Digital Media Specialist at the White Plains Public Library. Research Assistance and Narration was completed by Ben Himmelfarb, Local History Librarian at the White Plains Public Library.
