Expect scattered showers and the possibility of thunderstorms in northeastern South Africa as a surface trough interacts with a ridging high. Expect warm weather as bergwinds sweep across the west coast, bringing a pleasant change to the atmosphere. We're tracking severe thunderstorms that could lead to significant damage or loss of infrastructure in the southwestern regions of Limpopo Province, the extreme eastern areas of North West Province, Gauteng Province, and the Mpumalanga Province. Expect major travel disruptions and interruptions to municipal and essential services. We're anticipating extremely high fire danger conditions across the western half of the North West Province, along with certain areas in Free State Province and Northern Cape Province.
