This video will give you instruction on desensitizing your pup to their collar, harness, and leash. How to Practice Put your pup on a collar and/or harness on a regular basis when you are home with them so they desensitize to the feel of it on their body. If your pup is really struggling wearing the collar and/or harness put it on them only during feeding time and then take it off afterward so you are creating a positive association with the collar/harness. Practice Tips When taking your dog out to potty put them on leash to take them in the back yard. Do your best to keep that leash loose on your puppy so they do not get used to pulling. When your pup is fully vaccinated and ready to see the world find a safe, open area (park or cul de sac) and put your puppy on a long leash. (10-20-30 foot leash). Let them check out their new world with little to no restriction from a leash. This will help you when you start working leash skills with your puppy.
