Antique Rusted Oiler Restoration - Workshop DC

#Restoration #WorkshopDC #ASMR Antique Rusted Oiler Restoration - Workshop DC Hello guys! In today's video I Restored an Old Oiler. Used for internal lubrication of parts without having to open. I don't know for sure how old this piece is, but it is quite old and rare to find here in Brazil. I took the part apart and most of the internal parts were perfect with almost no rust. In the aluminum parts I used penetrating oil for protection, and the others I washed with degreaser. To remove the rust I used hot water and hydrochloric acid, left the pieces for 12 hours. The bottle had some leaks due to the dry glue, so I took it apart, only removed some imperfections with the hammer, I also removed some sharp edges. After that I brushed everything and painted. With the brushed parts I soldered the bottle and tested it with water to see if everything was right. I used Primer 2 coats and Spray Red 2 coats too. The old rubber gasket was really bad so I made a new one. I resrored the trigger the same way as the bottle. I removed the old hose that had been cut and restored the nozzles. The bottle cap had an imperfection so I decided to sand it and then I brushed it. I painted the lid too. With a heat gun I put in a new silicone hose and installed the nozzles. With all the parts ready, I started to assemble the Oiler. I liked the result and made a small demonstration of how the piece works. Protection Equipments: Gloves; Goggles; Hearing Protection; Mask; Products Used: Degreaser; Hydrochloric acid; Primer; Penetrating Oil; Equipmentis used: BenchGrinder; Plier; Screwdriver; Thanks for watching!
