The entire highway is 100% unpaved therefore not easy to drive on, low cruising speed is strongly recommended! Good thing, this particular highway is not used by big trucks at all, very rarerly get to see an 18-wheeler crusing along to/from Dawson City! Highest elevation right before the Alaska/Yukon border: 1325 meters or 5469 feet above the sea level! If you happen to be late, you'll have no choice but to camp out by the border until very next morning... lots of mosquitos in that area and cold!
