This is an educational video for those who want to see the process of opening a large geode by hand. This video is long and you won't see the opening until the end so if you are not interested in the process you will want to fast forward. It is an amazing smoky quartz geode with huge calcite and pyrite inclusions. Please notice when we started cracking the geode there was already a distinct fault line that we were able to follow. We are not suggesting or guaranteeing that opening ANY large geode will be this easy, we are simply showing the process we use when we start with a nice natural fault line.
