Published February 12, 2021 This is the best tasting gau you will ever eat. All commercial gaus are just plain and bland. This gau that I make in the instant pot only takes 2 hours. Some people cook it for 30 minutes but that's because its a real small bowl/dish. So it's up to you! To see if the gau is done and if it's firm, poke it with a cake tester and if it comes out clean then its done. This recipe uses coconut milk and coconut to give it more texture and richness. Once you try this, you'll never go back any other recipe. This is a secret that I've been perfecting for over 40 years.
