The Rich Art, Culture, and History of the Philippine Islands

My wife's family immigrated from the Philippines to the United States after World War Two. Because the Philippines was a U.S. Colony, the people there could choose between joining the Philippine Military, or the U.S. Military. My future father-in-law joined the U.S. Army. He became an officer in the Philippine Scouts, the last Horse Cavalry Unit in the U.S. Army. He fought in WW2 and went on to spend 28 years in the U.S. Army. After the war he was transferred to an Army Base in Arkansas and brought his family with him. All of his sons served in different branches of the U.S. Military, and all of his sons and daughters became educated and worked to make this a better country for all of us. Because of my long marriage to my wife, and the time I've spent with her family, I'm very familiar with Filipino history, culture, and art. So I created this short video to honor all of the Filipinos and their contributions to the United States, and the World. Hope you enjoy it.
