Hakko FR-410 Desoldering Station is a Perfect 10/10 -JBC & Metcal need to take Notes!

the Hakko FR410-52 in my opinion is the best desoldering station out in the market right now. I got 2 stations mainly for convenience, that way I don't have to change out different size nozzles that often. And also because I like it so much and to me, it is worthy of having another one. Compare to the JBC DR560 the Hakko is much more superior to the JBC in my opinion because of the smart suction pump and the advanced heating element. The vacuum pump has a 0.2-second delay after you press the trigger and that delay will generate a massive burst of suction that is very effective in sucking out all the solder consistently without clogging it. And since the heating element heats up from the tip all the way down then the solder will not be solidified until it reaches the reservoir. So, therefore, will not easily clog the desoldering gun. Hakko got this desoldering station down to a science. Although I prefer Hakko's desoldering station, I do like JBC's Soldering and Hot air station a bit better than Hakko's. I am not a fan of any company. I simply buy into whichever companies make better products regardless of price. The retail for the FR410-52 is $975.00 but keep in mind that the price doesn't include extra nozzles or filters. Also added there is another older version the FR410-02 that is obsoleted by the manufacture. So if you see it below retail price, especially by a couple of hundred dollars then make sure to ask if that is the current version and not the obsoleted one. Because the difference is quite big. It has 50 watts more of sheer power (190w-140w). That extra 50watts does indeed made a big difference in performance. And also it's now equipped with the new quick-change nozzle that is very convenient. With any desoldering station, you have to add an additional $50 - $200 on top of the price for extra nozzles and all the filters needed. Any desoldering stations require constant maintenance. However, some desoldering stations required more or less.
