How to cultivate peace and joy in ourselves and others - a Dharma talk with Chau Yoder

Dharma teacher Chau Yoder shares a chant and short guided meditation, followed by a Dharma talk. In this talk she talks about cultivating peace and joy, and shares some standing Chi Gung practices for the mind and body. Bio: Chau Yoder was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, and immigrated to the USA as a student. Chau is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Chau retired after 25 years from Chevron as a manager of Information Technology and as an Applied Behavioral Science consultant. Chau received training in mindfulness from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. In 1999 Chau was also trained by Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD on MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.) She is a Dharma Teacher, ordained by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in 2003 and in 2009, Chau completed the training program of Master Ce Hang Truong to be an Integral Taichi Trainer. Since 1989 she has been leading workshops and classes on Mindful Leadership, Mindful Living and Chi Gung to promote healthy and happy living. Chau was a member of Toastmasters from January 2008 until December 2022. She coordinated La Boi Press, which publishes Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s books in Vietnamese 1999 – 2020. Chau lives in Walnut Creek, California, with her husband Jim, to whom she has been married to since 1971. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, a granddaughter, and 2 grandsons.
