In 1957, at the height of his career, he purchased a blue 1957 Harley-Davidson FLH Panhead, which he rode extensively. In 1958, the Harley-Davidson factory gifted Lewis a new 1959 FLH Panhead, creating a playful rivalry with Elvis Presley, who received the second bike. Lewis cherished his '59 Panhead for 55 years before deciding to sell it in 2015.
