LMS Black five 45212 was at the Helm of the latest Northern Belle from Nottingham to Carlisle via Shap with 45212 attaching to the train at Carnforth for the attack of the Climb to Shap Summit and eventually Carlisle . 45212 is seen approaching Shap Summit in fine voice .The tour would return via the Settle and Carlisle line with 45212 in fine voice at Waitby Common and Kirkby Stephen station . Thanks to Nige for the lift and company . Apologies for the odd background sound on the 1st shot as the mic was picking up the strong wind howling under the footbridge . Did panic at Kirkby Stephen as I thought the poor chap was going to fall onto the ground or worse yet the track .
