[IMPROVING SOIL QUALITY] - How to Adjust Soil pH for GREEN GRASS

Improving soil quality is one of the most important things you can do in your lawn care program to get green grass. If your soil pH is outside of the ideal range, it will negatively affect nutrient uptake in your lawn. In extreme situations, incorrect soil pH can cause the soil to become toxic which results in brown grass. That's the opposite of the green grass lawns we all work hard to achieve. Your soil test results will tell you your soil pH level. If your soil pH is high (alkaline) then you'll need to apply sulfate to lower levels. The sulfate product I like is an calcium sulfate that you can get here: https://golfcourselawn.store/products... If your soil pH is low (acidic) then you'll need to apply lime or calcium carbonate to your lawn in order to raise pH levels. The product I prefer is from Jonathan Green that you can get here: https://golfcourselawn.store/products... If you've not yet gotten a soil test, I highly recommend doing it because it's really the first and among the most important steps you can do to a green lawn. Soil testing for your lawn is important part of your lawn care program. Soil test results will help determine exactly which fertilizers, micronutrients and other lawn additives your golf course lawn needs to be healthy. DIY soil testing is fast, easy and accurate way to measure the levels of pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium (potash) and important micronutrients like iron, magnesium, manganese and zinc. I used the soil testing kit from MySoil. I chose them because of the fast turnaround and because in addition to providing results, they also offer direct links to amendments to help you fix the issues in your soil. I got my soil test results 6 days after sending the sample out. In this video I'll share my strategy for amending the issues. Apologies for the colors being weird in this video.
