Woodturning a Mesquite vase that gave me alot of problems during the turn. But I was able to show how well mesquite takes ebonizing solution. I think it ebonizes even better than Oak and possibly better than any wood I have tried to ebonize to date. This wood turning project was part of the #YTCCC2021 (Youtube Cross Channel Challenge) that over 40 channels are participating in. February's woodturning challenge/theme was, "flower." But as the turn progressed I became increasingly unhappy with the way the piece was going to look so had to abort my original game plan to create what you see in from of you. So although I wouldn't say this is anywhere near my best woodturning work, I think there are good wood turning lessons throughout this video which do provide some substance and might inspire others to try ebonizing different types of wood during their woodturning projects to see what comes from it.
