So, a note...this video really isn't intended so much to show you the regular tourist attractions in Athens as much as to just show the flavor of the city while walking around (with the exception of the next video in the playlist showing Kookland, which I just stumbled upon.) An interesting thing about Athens is that you happen upon archeological ruins mixed in with modern buildings, sidewalk cafes, and street performers. You will see that the walk from Syntagma to Monastiraki is almost a straight line (with one turn to the left at a recognizable old building). 17:40 Arriving at Monastiraki with a quick walk around the famous plaza area including showing the location of the metro station. 21:00 Continuing on past Monastiraki until arrival at Little Kook (an Alice in Wonderland themed alley). Note: If you want to get pics or video of the ceremonial march of the Evzones to the tomb of the unknown soldier on Sunday morning at 11 am, get there quite early.
