NDT Drone for dexterous ultrasound thickness measurement in complex scenario

‪@neabotics930‬ is proud to present its prototype NDT drone for ultrasonic measurements in action in a real plant for the first time. The NDT drone features an ultra-lightweight robotic arm with 5 degrees of freedom (DoF) with a 6 DoF force/torque sensor in the wrist, a tool with a UT probe for thickness measurement with a coupling gel dispencer system. Thanks to the possibility of measuring the interaction force and the dexterity conferred by the robotic arm in real time, the NDT drone is able to guarantee high quality measurements, comparable to those carried out by specialized human operators, even in geometrically complex conditions where other drone systems capable of measuring only via orthogonal access fail.
