When Muscovy forms Russia, they can choose one of three expansion routes. North: towards the Baltic and Finland against Scandinavia. West: Towards Ruthenia against Poland-Lithuania. South: Towards the Caucasus against the Ottoman Empire. But what if the Russian Empire manages to get all three at the same time? And how could they pull off something so insane? This episode covers the events of Europe in session 2 of my Japan campaign in Victoria 2 Divergences of Darkness multiplayer. The typically crazy main European conflict including Bohemia’s desperate struggle against partition, the fate of Italy - Bad Frank’s Venice vs Aragon - and the rise of triple-expansion-route Russia. This part takes place at the same time as part 6, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom War, and follows up from parts 3 and 5. The events in America in session 2 will be covered in part 8, which will also move into session 3 and bring the timelines together. It all makes sense when you watch it.
