Learn how to kill carpetgrass without killing the lawn. Carpetgrass is a grassy weed that looks similar to centipede grass but is not nearly as uniform so it doesn't make a very good lawn turf. I use a product called Celsius (affiliate link) https://amzn.to/3QwabgE. This is a herbicide that can be used on warm season grasses such as bermuda, zoysia, centipede and st augustine. I applied celsius twice in this video and it mostly knocked out the carpetgrass. Carpetgrass is easy to identify by the seedhead but a trained eye can easily pick it out in a warm season lawn without a seedhead present.
