A video to help anyone with casting no matter if you're a new Skirmisher or new muzzleloading or even a veteran in the hobby. In this video I cover some ins and outs of getting started with cold lead, what to look for when casting, ways to improve, and what to look for during the process. I'm casting the RCBS Hodgdon type in a .576 mould to size down to a .575 in my Lyman lubesizer. This specific type is highly regarded and used in the N-SSA as the design was specifically created for shooting N-SSA competitions. When choosing the size for your muzzleloader you want one that is .002 smaller than your bore. The muskets I used this one for has a bore measurement/diameter of .577 so I size down to a .575.
