If you are coloring your hair the same color, or going darker, you should not get hot roots, especially if you are using 10 volume. However, if you are trying to go lighter than your natural haircolor or the color you have, this will not work for you. Please seek a professional when attempting to go lighter, as bleach is needed! If normal coloring, leave 30 minutes. If covering grey, leave on 45 minutes. This video is intended for reference on how to apply color at home quickly, and the color I personally use on-the-go! When and If available, I recommend a professional for more complicated or drastic changes to your haircolor!
