Hoppy Kveik Wheat Ale for Spring - Brew Dudes

We dive into a Hoppy LupoMAX Wheat Ale fermented with Kveik Voss just in time for warmer weather. Mike brewed up this reddish amber wheat beer to use up some LupoMAX hops. He used Citra and Sabro LupoMAX hops on this one. Playing with a little mash hopping and then nothing but late boil hop bursting with this one. Check the recipe below. For further experimentation, this beer was fermented with Kveik Voss. Voss is one of the cleaner kveik strains but it is known to show a little orange and citrus qualities which Mike hoped would pair well with the Citra hops. This beer delivered some string citrus and citrus pith notes. The Sabro brought a strange not quite lime/coconut thing to the table. It sort of seemed funky. Can't say the Voss did anything special here aside from fermenting relatively fast even at room temperature. Mike doesn't really see a reason to ferment at 90F degrees. CHEERS!
