All works was done on BMW E90 318d with N47 engine with 143bhp and 320NM 6speed manual engine standard car, but this will works on other E series models with N47 or N57 diesel engines as well. In this video i am doing decat+egr blanks (EGR will keep factory look for any visual inspection) install and also i am doing a ecu removal for ecu bench reading and writting with ktag mapping tool for remapping followed by remapping options and writing stage1 remap and deactivation of dpf and egr and their dtcs related errors all mapped out as well. All is shown in this video, i am not experienced in anyway all was done with basic tool and in easiest way, for mapping i am using ktag which can be easily and cheaply found as shown in this video and works well for me. Review on parts and tuners: ===================== Groovy Stance make this decat downpipe for me, it was very well made from stainless steel, their welding job on decat joints is spotless and very nicely put together, all fits perfectly and without any issues into my E90, Groovy Stance also make Vag, Mercedes and other BMWs decats pipes and materials and you may try to ask for other pipe works and materials. AC Remaps is professional tuning remapping company which helped me to remap my own read factory map file to Stage1 from 143bhp to 180bhp and from 320NM to 400NM torque and also helped with addons like DPF or EGR coding it out, there is not any black exhaust smoke during acceleration and car feels absolutely amazing, it's like a completely different car, dynamic, responsive and fun to drive, they also do their remapping in person by apointment where they do all works for you, they are EVC certified, and experienced, they do also Stage 2 or 3 as well or many other custom requests. I am using EGR blanks from DG Maps, because their EGR blanking kit keeps factory look of the EGR system for any visual inspections, also i am using this egr kit, because sometimes even if EGR is turned off by coding it out, it is not enough, sometimes due to a exhaust gas pressure to EGR valve can leave this valve slightly open or it can get valve to stuck open and will continue creating sludge and soot in your intake manifold or may cause other serious issues, therefore i am also using these EGR blanks to make sure that exhaust gas stays in exhaust manifold and not in air intake manifold. I was not sponsored by any of these companies, all material and parts have been paid by me and this is my own opinion about them. Important: ============ Do not try to read or write map file on BMW N47 or N57 engines without ECU being removed from the car and read and written in bench mode (ecu removed from car and opened), many OBD type mapping tools will not work on these ECUs correctly or at all, because even if the car with N47 or N57 engines which is pre-2007 may have been updated with ECU firmware (due to BMW dealer visit or previous owner) which may now have included tamper protection in these updated firmwares, therefore OBD mapping tools will not work on these ECUs and may brick and damage your ECU!!! Use mapping tools like ktag which will read and write ecu map file in boot mode on bench which will disable this tamper protection during the reading and writting a map file and will be able to sucessfully read and write map file and also create backup. Also, before you attempt to do all these works i strongly advise you to do intake manifold clean up and preparation for remap, decat and egr blanks, which you can find in my youtube video here: link: • BMW intake acid cleaning at home-simp... Advice: ============ I have done extensive research before i attempted this, there are many great forums which helps and also i bought a few ecus for training purposes from scrapyard to practice before i started work on my car. ============ I am not responsible for any damages or injuries, do it at your own risk. ============ Questions: ============ I will try to answer most of your questions as much as i can and when i can, but any questions related to DPF or EGR re-works mainly, if this will be legal in your country or if this will pass any of your country inspections or car insurance related questions i can't answer, this depends on country where you live, all i can say is use your common sense, also bit of advice, do not throw away your original DPF filter, you never know when you gonna need it to refit it back for a day or two...
