The idea is to take minimalist approach as a starting point, and let the the music grow out of the Moog semimodular instrument organically. The Subharmonicon, almost more so than other synths, has a very unique temperament and can be rather capricious. You have to find a way to negotiate with it, as its own musical paradigm is so strongly embedded into its music generating structure, but that is part of the fun. Of course there is the risk of getting carried away and letting the patch grow to epic proportions, but that is part of the fun. I am feeding the synth into my larger Eurorack system for effects processing. Maybe I will do a synth video about the difference between effect and affect.
