"People Make Culture" is a concept that focuses on the extremes of traditions, ideas, social behavior & cultural norms in Egypt. The extreme of putting people in boxes, giving them predetermined definitions of who they should be, versus the complete ignorance and disregard of such a beautiful & rich culture. The two extremes that are very present in our current society; but how do we reach middle ground? Shehab's goal with this piece was to shed a light on how do we reach a level of awareness where we can identify our subconscious actions due to those around us or the systematic destruction of our rich culture? How can we actively take conscious decisions on who we want to be.. because at the end of the day culture isn't one-dimensional.
