19. Gus’s Pizza Place and Family Restaurant, a Hinton institution. Gus, our beloved ever so faithful Greek family member of fifty years, my sister could not ever have had a more faithful loving, hard working husband. I camped out behind his Restaurant for a few days on my way up north and again back down south seven weeks later, it came with free wifi and as much free pizza as I could eat. I originally at age fourteen was a busboy / dishwasher, I spent some of my teenage years in Hinton, twenty years later on many visit trips back to Hinton would even be a pizza delivery guy, then another 10 years later I contracted with Gus to do minor renovations on his two apartment blocks, both of his residents, and his restaurant. That was a very busy year and summer for my kids, when school has out I moved them to Hinton also, I needed all the help I could get, and yet person after person wanted me to take on their needs also. I started a video and then I see and hear something /somebody familiar….behind me, this KW does the overnight road train to Edmonton and back daily like I used to do to Calgary and Lethbridge.
