I was so sad when my mini monstera aka rhaphidophora tetrasperma fell off my wall AGAIN and this time the stem snapped! It has grown so much since i got it, and ive cut it back multiple times, but this is tallest its ever been so this hurt my soul a little 😂 Every time ive cut it back in the past, ive propagated the cuttings in water, and have had a lot of success in water and without waiting for the cuttings to callous before putting them in water. However, in the previous videos I’ve posted, I’ve gotten a lot of comments and questions around cuttings rotting or not rooting, so I decided to try using perlite in addition to water this time to see how well they root in that. I also sealed some of the cuttings with super glue, and let some of them callous 24 hours before putting them in perlite and water to see if that made a difference. I’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, I need to decide if I should cut back the other vine, or let that one keep growing and do its thing.
