Drawing 6 Beginner Celtic Knots [1hr Timelapse]

In this video I draw 6 unique 3x3 Celtic knots. It took me about an hour to draw, outline and color all 6 knots. You can notice the sun setting and then me having to switch to overhead lighting. In the future, I will try to use one continuous light source. I think it's so cool how all 6 of these knots start off exactly the same. The only thing that differentiates their design is where the break lines are placed. There are more than just these 6 combinations for 3x3 knots. In future videos, I will show you more 3x3 designs. 3x3 knots are good for the beginner because they are relatively small. Because of their size, they can be drawn quickly. This means that if you do make a mistake, it's not a huge deal and can be fixed quickly. Also, there are less combinations of break lines for the 3x3, making designing them more manageable. I find drawing Celtic knots to be very relaxing and meditative. Going slowly and focusing on my lines puts me in a zen state. Time flies by as I draw in a flow-state.
