So stoked to share the first installment of the Compass Sessions. In order with the Compass album, the Compass Sessions starts with East. I hope you enjoy the live show and all the happy accidents involved with it. We recorded the audio in one take so it's as live as it gets! About the Compass Sessions filming process... Last year I linked up with the talented visual story teller Trav Travels to journey around California and film live sets of each of the EP's from the Compass album. With loose plan in action and 4 days to film, we managed to go all over the state of California to capture a live set for each EP in a unique location. For the East Compass Sessions we settled on a location in the hills of Santa Barbara. It was a blind send based on an image from a Google Earth scan. After scouting a bit we found a perfect clearing. It was a mad dash to set up all the gear and get the set recorded because we feared that since we had a speaker blasting music and a drone to film that we'd get kicked out. In addition to that we soon realized that my set was going to be extremely difficult to play since the light completely bleached out all the buttons on my pads. Thankfully I'd practiced through the set many times so it went ok, but it was definitely a curve ball. Thanks for supporting and can't wait to share the rest of the Compass Sessions soon. Cheers, Ryan
