From the outset, we are taught to be good, to be compassionate, forgiving, have good moral values and beliefs. Do you become a good human being simply because you acted according to what was considered right by the society? Or are you a good human being because you are doing something worthwhile with your life, making others happy, accepting and loving others without judging them? Self reflection and contemplation will help you discover your truth and your truth alone will guide you to the path of self discovery. Are we to say that you will never have impure thoughts? Thoughts are innate; good or bad, pure or impure. They are labelled as such because of our surroundings and the conditioning we endure by society. What matters most however, is how you deal with these thoughts. An impure thought can become much more potent if you keep it in your mind and pursue it. But there is no impurity if you drop these thoughts. Once you start treading the path of self discovery with your own truth, accompanied with meditation, sadhana and a whole lot of good karma, all the impurities will flow out of your system leaving you pristine and unblemished.
