Daiwa has released two new bait finesse reels for the US market, the 24 Tatula BF 70 and the 24 PX BF 70. The Tatula BF 70 is essentially a rebranded Daiwa Salamandura, priced at $240, without a clicking drag feature. The 24 PX BF 70 has a list price of $349, but it's essentially an Alphas Air TW, which can be purchased for much less overseas. Both reels have received criticism for being essentially rebranded versions of existing reels, with no significant upgrades or improvements. I'm personally disappointed in Daiwa's latest releases, but it's comparable to moves made by Shimano, Kastking, and Abu Garcia in recent years.
