We are building a new hoop house for our meat birds to be raised in. Due to different diet needs, Meat birds should be kept separate from laying hens. Feeding meat birds laying pellets can make the meat taste bad and keeping the separate makes it just a bit easier to time the processing. Meat birds are ready for processing when they reach 5 months.
