Breville Smart Coffee Grinder Jammed! - TEAR DOWN & INSPECTION - CAN WE FIX IT?

In this video we take a closer look at a Breville Smart Coffee Grinder (model BCG800 / BCG800XL) which keeps on jamming and making some very strange noises. We pull it apart to see if we can identify and fix the jamming issue. The jamming issue can typically be linked to either a worn impeller, stripped drive gears or burnt-out electric motor. The Breville Smart Coffee Grinder BCG800 contains a plastic impeller which discharges the ground coffee through the exit chute. This plastic impeller wears out over time causing the grinder's motor to jam... In their newer Smart Grinder (model BCG820), a stainless steel impeller (with improved geometrical design) is used instead of a plastic impeller. This helps to prevent the impeller from wearing out, hopefully leading to a longer service life.
