OLIVER"S NEW SHOES!

We finally found a farrier that will put shoes on our Clydesdale, Oliver! Most farriers will not work on a draft horse because of their large size, so we have had to REALLY search to find someone for Oliver! When we found this gentleman only 2 hours away from us, we made an appointment right away! These are Oliver's first shoes EVER and even though it was all nee to him, he did AMAZING and stayed very calm, standing very nicely for the farrier and was well behaved. We are super proud of him! We have had a lot of requests to leave Oliver barefoot. But in our neck of the woods the ground is very hard and rocky and when a horse is being used it will wear their feet down short, causing them to become sore and hurt. We do not want that for Oliver! So we have chosen to have him shod. SUNRISE FARRIER AND SUPPLY, LLC 417-554-1773 Oliver is a two year old Clydesdale stallion that we rescued earlier this year with the help of our viewers. He was very sick when we first got him and REALLY Underweight. He has come a long way and made a full recovery from EPM. He is now well and strong enough to start training to pull and eventually ride (Of course with the ok from our vet and chiropractor). Oliver has had quite the journey!
