Dr Todd Shatkin DDS - Our History | Aesthetic Associates Centre in Buffalo, NY

I’m proud to have served this community for 30 years. My journey began right here in Amherst, where I graduated from Amherst High School. I earned my biology degree from the University of Rochester before heading to the University of the Pacific in San Francisco to master the latest techniques in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Back in 1989, these specialties weren’t widely taught in Western New York or on the East Coast, so I traveled west to learn the most advanced procedures and bring them back to Buffalo. For three decades, I’ve practiced alongside my brother, a board-certified plastic surgeon. For 20 of those years, I had the unique privilege of working with my father, a dual-certified DDS and MD in maxillofacial and plastic surgery. Together, we performed some of the most specialized surgical procedures I’ve ever experienced, thanks to his expertise and collaboration. We’ve recently expanded our facility to better serve our patients. Our new addition adds 15,000 square feet to our existing 13,000-square-foot building, providing 21 dental operatories, three surgical operating rooms, and multiple treatment rooms for plastic surgery procedures led by my brother. We are excited to continue growing in Amherst, enhancing the care we offer to our community. On a personal note, I’m thrilled that my son is following in my footsteps. He has just completed his first year at Tufts University Dental School in Boston and will be joining our practice in the near future. I look forward to welcoming you to our practice.
