Not-So-Easy(ier) Cap Video Capture Device, Part 1 - No Video

Originally recorded May 16, 2017. For the previous videos on the Panasonic OmniMovie Camcorder, I needed a way to capture the analog video and audio and import that into the computer so it could be turned into a video file for ultimate processing and editing of the video. I found this "Easier Cap" device on ebay for around 8 dollars, so I bought it. It arrived some time later so I set about trying to install it. Well it so seems this was plagued with problems from the start. I did some research online about it, and it so seems that while this is by far the most popular USB capture device based on cost, many, many, many other people also had problems with it. Sometimes when a problem seems complicated, and you can't figure out what the actual trouble is, the problem may actually be something much simpler. Whilst trying to troubleshoot the more complex aspects of the issue, I overlooked an obvious one, which will be disclosed in the continuing saga of this device.
