Opinion: Sororities are inherently stressful, and serve no benefit to the fish; an animal bred for aggression should not be forced to live with others after thousands of years of breeding to the contrary. You shouldn’t buy a Betta (or any animal for that matter) unless you know 100% you can afford to care for them and make changes if necessary. Too many people buy small tanks bc they want a Betta but can’t afford it. Hopstail tank shoudnt be big. Only half a gallon maybe (let say it have swim badder) Also because a 1 gallon can work and not slot of people use fliter and heater and they fish are alive for 4+ year. Buying betta fish from big name pet stores where they're kept in those little dishes for months financially allows those businesses to continue abusing fish so you should only buy betta fish from places that take care of them. Disagree If someone doesn't know they are doing wrong then they don't know when to ask. If they do know they are doing wrong then maybe hearing how they can do right might motivate them to do so I tend to agree if the information is given in a condescending way. People in some of these groups tend to be a tad mean to newbies. Okay, not a tad, they totally turn people off of the group. lol I find that people are quick to pull the "youre being rude!" card just because they dont want to accept the information. I dont think people should be intentionally rude by any means but a lot of the time people feel like their advice is being ignored due to ignorance which we must admit can be frustrating
