When I decided to set off on my 3-month long trip to Eastern Europe in January 2018, people asked me why? "It's winter there, you can't do anything with that kinda weather!". I mean, they were right! I was when the "beast from the east", the freezing wind from Siberia, hit Europe hard and the temperature went down to -16℃. It was freezing, but they were also wrong. There were plenty of things to do in winter Poland as you will see in this video. I based myself out of Krakow for 3 months and for 3 full weeks, I went around the country and explore all the nooks and crannies this country has to offer. My journey took me all over from Warsaw to Torun to Gdansk, Malbork, Poznan, Wroclaw, Zakopane and eventually back to Krakow. I was able to see Poland from both sides of the coin, during the deep winter months, and during spring which was a welcomed change. For this video, I decided to start with gripping imagery of my trip to Auschwitz concentration camp to highlight the tragic past of Poland and as the video progresses, the pace picks up and shows just how far Poland has come since then. Poland is such a colorful country, both metaphorically and physically and I hope I was able to capture that in this travel video. I hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you think about this one! Location: Krakow, Warsaw, Torun, Gdansk, Malbork, Poznan, Wroclaw, Zakopane Camera Gear: Sony a6500 and a Sony 16mm - 70mm F4 lens. #backpacking #travel #poland #europe
