Jungkook and Kim Taehyung, two members of the boy group BTS under the BigHit Music agency, have filed a lawsuit against a YouTuber named Sojang. This lawsuit is intended to demand accountability for the spread of false news and defamation committed by Sojang against the two artists, with a total claim for damages reaching 90 million or around Rp. 1 billion. Previously, BigHit Music had taken legal action against Sojang in 2022, but the investigation was stalled. After tracking down the operator of the YouTube channel, they requested that the investigation be continued, and earlier this year, they continued with an additional civil lawsuit to demand compensation for defamation and illegal activities carried out by Sojang.
