New Zealand Visa වලට April 7 මොකද උනේ?I Important Updates to New Zealand's Work Visa | April 2024

Welcome to our channel! In this video, we cover the latest changes to New Zealand's Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) that take effect from 7 April 2024. These changes affect both current visa holders and new applicants. Here's what you need to know: Key Changes for Current AEWV Holders: If you applied for your first AEWV before 21 June 2023 and hold a three-year visa for an ANZSCO level 4 or 5 job, your maximum stay will be reduced from five years. Those on a pathway to residence in ANZSCO level 4 or 5 jobs will not be affected by the maximum stay duration change. For further AEWV applications from 7 April 2024, updated criteria must be met, potentially limiting the maximum stay for ANZSCO level 4 and 5 jobs. Changes for New AEWV Applications: Increased requirements for work experience and qualifications for ANZSCO level 4 and 5 roles. New minimum skill requirements: 3 years of relevant work experience or a relevant level 4 or above qualification on the NZQCF, with international qualifications needing an IQA if below a Bachelor's degree. A minimum standard of English proficiency is now required for ANZSCO level 4 and 5 jobs, excluding current applications and dependents of AEWV applicants. Updates to Work to Residence and Green List: Bus and truck drivers applying for AEWV or starting work on an open work visa from 7 April 2024 will not be eligible for a Transport Work to Residence visa. Existing AEWV holders, approved applicants, and those who started work before the cut-off will still qualify. New Green List additions from 8 April 2024: Straight to Residence: Aviation Engineer, Naval Architect, ICT Database and Systems Administrator, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Work to Residence: Corrections Officer. Previously planned roles for the Green List and Construction and Infrastructure Sector Agreement will not be added. Stay informed and make sure you understand how these changes might impact your visa status or application.
