You may or may not have hear of GPT function calling, but is single handedly the biggest advancement to language model since ChatGPT originally went viral at the beginning of 2023. We all have become accustomed to receiving highly intelligent responses from language models. Some of us using them more than google these days. With GPT function calling we can enable the intelligence behind this language model to output much more than text. Think of an AI agent that can accomplish anything a human can on the computer. In this video I will show a high level overview of how software developers can use some basic to mid level Python skills and automate complex tasks based off text prompt inputs to the AI agent. If you take this idea and build on it, Jarvis can become a reality from what seemed like a future outside our life times when Marvel intrigued all of us tech enthusiasts 15 years ago. I will show how to use OpenAI's function calling model from a high level and show how I used this new ability to create an agent that accesses Midjourney and Instagram. I gave the agent the ability to generate images and post them to instagram with a ChatGPT generated caption. This really was just a simple example from the coding perspective that shows the simplicity of automating highly complex tasks from a text prompt input.
