Kompany's WINNING 4231 FM24 Tactics (Dominate Opponents) | Best FM24 Tactics

Kompany's WINNING 4231 FM24 Tactics Looking for the best FM24 tactics? Check out Kompany's WINNING 4231 formation, which lets you dominate opponents. My love for football in general got me into playing football manager 2024, I can’t explain it but I just loved the little intricacies of the game and as my love for football grew so did my love for football manager 2024. Now when I watch football matches I don’t just watch with the ordinary eyes, I instead watch like a coach. Lately a team that’s caught my eyes is Vincent Kompany’s Bayern, this was a guy that got lots of people scratching their heads with his appointment but after watching how well he has done in the little time that he’s been the coach at Bayern it’s obvious that he is the real deal. I have watched how Bayern have played so far under Kompany and it’s what inspired me to create this tactics. Of course due to the game’s limitations I can’t replicate everything down as perfect as Bayern but I have done my best to implement a lot of the things Bayern do. This is one of the most dominant tactics I have seen in a very long time and I am excited to share it with you. 1. Pressing (4–2–2–2) On paper Bayern line up in a 4–2–3–1 shape, however as the game progresses they move into a variation of formations. When pressing high up from the front, Bayern look to stop the opposition from playing out from the back. They do this by pressing with a box 4 in a 4–2–2–2 shape and the initial press is triggered mostly by the wingers. They wait just outside the box for the opposition’s goalkeeper to make the first pass. Depending on which opposition defender receive the ball, the opposite winger will press accordingly. So if the opposition’s goalkeeper makes a pass to the right defender then the winger on the left will initiate the press. They do this while trying to cover the passing lane out-wide to the full-back. The Striker and the player in the number 10 role, together will look to mark out the opposition’s defensive midfielders to prevent the defenders finding them with the ball. The rest of the team pushes up to compress the space in midfield and also create numerical superiority where needed, while the sweeper keeper stays behind the back-line ready to sweep up any ball that comes their way. 2. Possession There are two phases of possession that we are going to take a look at here, and they are as follows: Possession while in the opposition’s half Possession while in our own half Opposition’s half (2–3–5) When in possession Bayern look to really stretch the opposition really wide and pin them back by playing in sort of a 2–3–5 formation with both wingers providing the width and the striker pinning the opposition’s defenders while the left and right half-spaces are filled by the player in the number 10 role and the right full-back respectively. Behind them offering support and cover are the left full-back, and the two holding midfielders and the two defenders are the last line of defence. Bayern in possession are very fluid as they do rotate a lot and they look to attack from the centre with quick short passes while being patient and not forcing things. They dribble a lot in the box almost like trying to walk their way to goal. Own half (3–1–3–3) When in possession in their own half, Bayern from back to front play in a sort of 3–1–3–3 formation. The right holding midfielder drops to the right side of the back line to form a back 3, leaving Bayern with just a single pivot. The fullbacks move into midfield alongside the player in the number 10 role, wingers look to stretch the pitch by staying wide and the striker pins the opposition’s back-line. Bayern also makes use of this shape in building up from the back. Transition As soon as Bayern lose the ball, they look to counter-press immediately making sure the opposition doesn’t have time on the ball and once they win the ball they look to counter with quick short passing as they move towards the opposition’s goal. Defending (4–2–3–1) Out of possession, Bayern look to play in a narrow 4–2–3–1, they look to create pressing traps outside which they aim to use in recovering back the ball. They don’t dive into tackles, they look to out muscle their opponents and so far, their ball recovery time is in the single digits. Closing remarks Expect to completely dominate your opponents with this tactics in football manager 2024 as Bayern do in the real world. In order to get the best of this tactics you need to make sure you train your players in the area of resistance, endurance, and quickness as this tactics demands a lot physically and if the players are not prepared physically they can’t perform to a high standard.
